Johnston: The Morgan Avenue Bridge is closed to traffic. Follow signed detours. The bridge is scheduled to reopen to traffic during this construction season.

Providence: A new traffic pattern is now in effect on Wickenden St., from Benefit St. to the Point St. Bridge. Those traveling west on Wickenden St. will be restricted from turning left onto South Water St. To access I-195, motorists will turn right onto South Main St., left onto James St., and a left onto South Water St. to reach the on-ramp to I-195 East. Providence: Dyer St., between Clifford St. and Dorrance St., is now two-way, but parking is no longer permitted. This change is part of the reconstruction of Dyer St., between Dorrance St. and Orange St., and is scheduled to last through October. See Detour »

Providence: South Main St. North, from Wickenden St. to James St., travel lanes are narrowed and parking is no longer permitted through Fall 2014.

Bike Path Closures

Continuing

East Providence/Providence: The East Bay Bike Path over the Washington Bridge, from India St. in Providence to Warren Ave. in East Providence, is closed until late Fall 2014 for rehabilitation. Cyclists can detour using Waterfront Dr. and the Henderson Bridge. Learn more »

Coventry: The Washington Secondary Path, Trestle Trail segment, from west of Town Farm Road to Log Bridge Road, is under construction and closed through Fall 2014.

South Kingstown/Narragansett: Construction underway on the South County Bike Path, including pavement repair and new signage and striping. The bikeway will remain open at all times, but those using the path weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. may encounter work and will need to dismount and walk their bikes around construction areas.
